How do we work?

Find a Needy Family

Usually this process is done by going into the labor and delivery hospitals and looking for a family that has a premature baby and is struggling financially. Our North African team is vital for this step. They are able to work with the local hospital to find a family in need.

Help with Medical Expenses

At the very beginning, these families usually have a lot of medical expenses: lab work, medicines, and tests that need to be run. The first few days of the premature baby’s life can be intense. Our team is kept busy meeting up with the family to pay for all of these extra expenses while the baby is still in the hospital.

Follow Up

This part of our process is very important. We believe in building a relationship with the family, getting to know them, visiting them in their home, and continuing to share God’s love with them. This part of the process can last for months as we continue to visit them and bring them diapers, formula, and other supplies the family may need.

North Africans Reaching North Africans

Our North African Team members don’t always have extra resources on hand, but they give generously of their time and effort. It’s not always easy for them, but the love and empathy they show to the families is exceptional.
Our goal is not to see more foreigners doing the day to day work of Fatima’s Children, but to see North Africans, who have a heart to help others, reach out to their own fellow countrymen.

Throughout the world, people are in spiritual darkness. Christians are called to bring the light of the gospel to all people. When tragedy strikes, people clamor for hope, truth, and peace. God can use tragic situations to bring people to Himself. Fatima’s Children wants to provide the means for national believers to shine the light into the darkness of families facing hardships with their premature babies. Our aim is not only the care of premature babies, but also providing a new avenue to share the gospel globally.
